Fall Colors

Hello everyone.....

"Fall Colors", oil on canvas, 8x10

I spent my Sunday afternoon painting this and took a break at a yogurt place with my family in downtown Arlington Heights. Although it was a warm day I could smell autumn in the air, my favorite season.
I like this small gourd & red pear (bought at local grocery, the maple leaf was picked from the ground) and plan to do more (time permits) in the future. So this painting is my welcome to autumn!

Thank you for visiting my blog.
Have a great week!

Pear and Tomatoes

Happy Saturday!

"Pear and Tomatoes", oil on canvas, 9x12

I've done this a while ago. As someone new to still life studio painting I am still learning to set up my objects and lighting.
I'm happy to see that gourds are coming to grocery stores, they're so beautiful (very interesting shape & color) and, hopefully, to paint.....

Enjoy your weekend and thank you for reading my blog!

The Red Beauty

Hello Everyone, TGIF!

"The Red Beauty", oil on panel, 8x10

I painted this beautiful T-model (1911) last Sunday (09.22.2013) at The Arlington Heights Historical Museum parking lot. They had vintage cars show and I was able to do plein aire there. There were so many beautiful cars to paint, but, unfortunately, I didn't have time to do more than this.-:)
The weather was perfect, I spent couple hours painting and socialized with people who came by my easel, it was a lovely day!

Me...taking a break! -:)
